Spring is in the air. Jasmine is blooming all over. The days are getting longer and longer. This drink is literally the PERFECT cocktail to reward yourself after a long week. So I had a ton of fresh basil left over from the bruschetta I made the other day and didn’t want it to go to waste. What better use than steeping it into a simple syrup of blue and blackberries? Just add in some key lime juice and vodka and you may have just made your newest, favorite drink. Drink it as slowly as possible. Let the flavor dance on your tongue. If you’d prefer not to have any alcohol, you can substitute the vodka for soda water. It’ll be just as refreshing. Start this weekend on the right foot: make this berry fizz over ice. Hope you enjoy! 21+
Fresh basil and berries might be the best drink combo ever. The acid from the lime juice really brightens all the flavors too.
This is a cocktail I sipped SLOWLY so I could enjoy every last drop to the fullest.
