Enjoy this creamy Honey Butter with your next breakfast spread or with a side of bread! Made with only two everyday ingredients, it comes together quickly!
Using a stand mixer with the paddle attachment or a hand mixer, beat the butter on medium-low speed until smooth and a bit fluffy, about 1 minute.
Add 1/4 cup of honey. Beat until well combined. (Beat in the vanilla and cinnamon with the honey, if using.)
Add the remaining 1 tablespoon honey and fold it 2 or 3 times with a spatula to create swirls of honey in the butter. Transfer to a container. Serve or store covered in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Notes
To get the honey out of your measuring cup without scraping it, spray it with oil before adding the honey. Doing so helps the honey slide right out of the cup!
If your kitchen is cold and it’s taking a while for the butter to come to room temperature, you can cut the butter into smaller cubes to speed up the process.
If you only have unsalted butter, add a pinch of sea salt. The salt helps make this honey butter flavorful and enhances the sweetness.
If you have a cold kitchen, you might notice that your honey has crystallized. Natural honey will crystallize over time. To get your honey to liquid form to whip into the butter, gently heat the jar of honey in a pot of water until it reverts to its liquid form.
