For the Donuts:
Preheat to 350 degrees F.
Butter or grease a donut pan.
Whisk the dry ingredients.
In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted butter, vanilla, and egg.
Strain the blackberries. Pour captured juice into batter until you reach a desired color. I added in almost all of the juice reserving just a bit for the glaze. A few drops of food coloring can be added to supplement the color if preferred.
Fold the wet into the dry.
Transfer batter to a piping bag. Snip off the tip.
Pipe mixture into greased doughnut pan.
Bake for 17 minutes or until springy. Test with a toothpick.
Let the donuts cool on a wire rack.
For the Cream Cheese Glaze:
In a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat together cream cheese, butter and vanilla until smooth.
Add in sifted confectioners sugar and beat or whisk in the milk slowly until desired consistency is reached.
Divide into parts. Reserve some for a white base. Use the strained blackberry juice to dye a gradient of colors. Transfer colors to separate piping bags.
Squeeze colors into the white base. Swirl with a toothpick. Dip donuts to capture a marbled look.
Mix the gold luster together with vodka.
Using a paintbrush, flick specks of gold onto donuts.

Notes
Baked donuts will absorb moisture from the glaze so serve immediately or make ahead and glaze before serving.
The donuts will loose some color when baked so add a drop of purple food coloring if you want a brighter finished product.
I liked the subtle tie-dye effect of the glaze but you could add more blackberry juice to the whole batch for a more colorful look.
