What You Need To Make This Recipe

Ingredients needed to make air fryer pizza rolls.

Pizza rolls — grab a bag of your favorite frozen pizza rolls (I use Totino’s pizza rolls, but you can use any brand you like from the grocery store). No need to thaw them out!

Optional dipping sauce — I like to dip my air fryer pizza rolls into marinara sauce, but feel free to serve with any dipping sauce you prefer or leave out the sauce altogether.

How To Air Fry Pizza Rolls

1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F.

2. Scatter the pizza rolls into the hot air fryer basket in a single layer.

3. Lightly spray them with cooking spray.

4. Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket after 5 minutes of cooking time. They are ready when the outside is golden brown, and they are warm through the center. Serve with your dipping sauce of choice.

Flavor Variation

Try garlic parmesan pizza rolls! Here’s an easy way to make them:

  • While the pizza rolls are in the air fryer, combine 2 tablespoons of melted butter with 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large bowl.
  • Stir in 1 teaspoon of garlic powder or 2 cloves of garlic minced, a generous pinch of red pepper flakes, and 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning or 1 tablespoon minced fresh herbs like parsley, oregano, or basil.
  • Toss the hot air-fried pizza rolls in the garlic butter. Sprinkle well with grated parmesan cheese and ground black pepper before serving.

Serve With Your Favorite Dipping Sauce

Air fryer pizza rolls are even more delicious when dipped in a sauce like creamy ranch or a tomato sauce like marinara sauce or pizza sauce.

Pro Tips For Making This Recipe

  • Preheat your air fryer. You’ll get the best results if the pizza rolls go into a hot air fryer so they crisp up perfectly.
  • Set your air fryer at 375°F if needed. Some air fryers cannot be set to 380°F. They still crisp up perfectly!
  • Don’t thaw the pizza rolls. They should go straight from the freezer into the air fryer basket.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket. The pizza rolls should be in a single layer in the basket. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to work in batches.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did my pizza rolls explode in the air fryer?

Cooking pizza rolls for too long or at too high a temperature can cause the filling to burst the shell and leak out. Set the air fryer no higher than 380°F, and check them at 6 minutes for doneness. If they aren’t ready, continue air frying for another minute or two, and keep an eye on them.

Should I use a basket liner?

I don’t recommend it. There’s better circulation of the hot air without a parchment paper liner for perfectly crispy pizza rolls. Plus, they aren’t messy, so clean-up should be a breeze anyway.

How to store leftover air fried pizza rolls?

Refrigerate leftover pizza rolls for up to 3 days in an airtight container. Reheat them in the air fryer at 350°F for 3 to 4 minutes.
